I was born and raised in the SF family,fifth son of the original CWO3'Big Daddy'5th SF. In the early days it was a much smaller organization that was frowned upon by the Regular Army Brass which had the effect of drawing us even tighter together as one extended family. We moved often just as you do now, but back then they would move the entire family as close to the area of deployment as possible in case Dad had a few days R&R or received a "training exercise" injury that required some down time. On those occasions when a "father" was needed to fix a bike or for a ride to ball practice, anyone of a dozen men on home rotation would step in as "Uncle Lone Wolf" or "Uncle Lopez". They were exceptional men who came before you. They lived by a code that they instilled in those of us fortunate enough to have known them. 'We are family. We take care of our own.'
These days my wife Christine and I own Assist-2-Sell in the Southern Pines NC area near Ft Bragg, Pope AFB, Camp Macall and close enough to my Dad's house to visit regularly. I am very good at my job and it gives me great pleasure to help continue the code I was raised with. You are family and we take care of our own.
